Personal + Professional: With over twenty years in the veterinary industry, Nicki has worked in a variety of positions – from front desk to veterinary assistant to administrative. She took on the Practice Manager role in January of 2022 as her latest challenge and learning journey in this industry she has dedicated her adult life to. In her personal time, Nicki loves to spend time with her husband, Barney, and daughter, Poppy. Their household also enjoys furry family members – Chuck (beagle/schnauzer mix), Dodo (shih tzu/yorkie mix), Hillary (a spaniel mix), and the two true owners of the house, Sticky and Mr. Chow (cats).

Why I got into the vet med industry: Nicki was twenty years old when her mom saw a sign in front of a vet clinic advertising a front desk position and suggested she apply. She had no way of knowing that she would find her true passions for animal care and customer service. Nicki truly loves educating clients on how to best care for their pet and make decisions regarding their health.

Why I like working for City Way: Nicki came to City Way shortly after having her daughter in 2016, after a brief hiatus from the veterinary industry. It was here that she reignited her passion for animal health and was given many opportunities to use her extensive knowledge and experience in new and exciting ways, first as the Patient Care Advocate and then as the Quality Care Manager. Taking on the Practice Manager role has been a whirlwind but also the most fulfilling professional experience of her life. Her dedication and love for the City Way family has only grown and she sees many more years to come!
